我的创作通常从现实中的人、空间和事件开始。我会在一个具体的地方停留很久，去看一个人如何处在环境里，一段关系怎样发生变化，时间又怎样慢慢留在身体、物和空间之中。

我一直关心时间和记忆，也关心人在不断变化的世界里，怎样保存自己的感受和经验。很多时候，真正触动我的并不是一个明确的事件，而是一些很小的变化：一个动作，一段沉默，人与人之间的距离，光线经过一个空间，或者某件事发生以后留下的痕迹。

对我来说，拍摄是一种持续观看的方式。它让我保持对这些细微变化的感受，也让我有机会和眼前的世界建立更长久、更具体的联系。我希望作品最终留下的，不只是一个被记录下来的现实，也包括我们曾经怎样感受到它。

My work usually begins with people, spaces, and events in the real world. I tend to stay in a particular place for a long time, observing how a person exists within an environment, how a relationship gradually changes, and how time slowly leaves its traces on bodies, objects, and spaces.

I have long been concerned with time and memory, and with how people preserve their feelings and experiences within a world that is constantly changing. Often, what moves me most is not a clearly defined event, but a series of very small shifts: a gesture, a period of silence, the distance between two people, light passing through a space, or the traces left behind after something has happened.

For me, filming is a way of sustaining attention. It allows me to remain sensitive to these subtle changes and gives me the opportunity to build a longer and more concrete relationship with the world in front of me. What I hope a work can ultimately preserve is not only a reality that has been recorded, but also something of how we once experienced it.
